Q: What kind of spells will there be in the game?
Going back to our philosophy of diversity, player driven world changes, and making your choices matter, there will be lots of different kinds of spells. Spells will tend to work together to let you do interesting things, and each spell will be fairly specific. So there will be spells for turning people into toads and other creatures, spells for naming a location so the location can be referred to by other spells, several spells of locking (each with an appropriate corresponding unlocking spell), spells for binding the life of one character to another, spells for creating various sorts of wards (again, each with their specific ward dispellling spell), etc. Multiple sorts of invisibility, alarms to alert you when an invisible person enters an area, spells to create charms to provide resistance or immunity to other spells, all will be there at release time.

Our goal is to make your choices about what spells you become proficient in, what protective charm you wear, and what spell focuses you carry with you matter. Magic, like many other aspects of Magicosm, will be very different from what you're used to from other MMORPGs.
